Bowen Technique

The Bowen technique is a gentle, holistic and non-invasive  fascial release technique, which assists the body to recover by balancing and releasing the soft tissue.

The treatment technique involves  small gentle specific rolling movements of the therapists fingers and thumbs, over very precise parts of the body . The treatment will include  short periods of rest following the appropriate moves, which will allow for the body to respond and  make the necessary adjustments.

Bowen may be safely used on the very young to the elderly, and during pregnancy. It is effective for treatment of many problems including back, neck and joint problems. nerve pain such as sciatica, soft tissue injuries, sprains and strains, sports injuries, whiplash injury, general and orthopaedic surgery and fractures. It is effective during and after pregnancy for problems such as back pain and for treatment of the newborn and infants.

It has also been shown to be helpful for problems such as jaw problems, migraine, asthma, hayfever and sinus problems and possibly infertility problems as well as for stress relief, general relaxation and athletic and body maintenance.
